- 1 lb lean beef, cubed (top round)
- 2 teaspoons vegetable oil
- 3⁄4 tablespoon onion, chopped
- 1 lb mushroom, sliced
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- pepper
- 1⁄4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1⁄2 teaspoon dried basil
- 1⁄4 cup white wine
- 1 cup plain low-fat yogurt
- 6 cups cooked noodles
directions
- Heat 1 teaspoon oil in a non-stick skillet & saute onions for 2 minutes.
- Add beef and saute for additional 5 minutes. Turn to brown evenly. remove from pan & keep hot.
- Add remaining oil to pan; saute mushrooms.
- Add beef and onions to pan with seasonings.
- Add wine, yogurt and gently stir. Heat, but do not boil.
- Serve with cooked noodles.
