Ingredients Nutrition

  • 1 lb round steak
  • 12 cup flour (seasoned with salt, pepper, and garlic salt)
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 34 chopped onion
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 12 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 (14 ounce) can sliced mushrooms (and liquid)
  • 1 (10 ounce) package frozen peas
  • 12-34 cup sour cream
  • 3 -4 cups cooked rice

Directions

  1. Cut meat into narrow strips.
  2. Dredge in flour.
  3. Quickly brown in hot oil.
  4. Add onion, broth, spices,mushroom liquid.
  5. Cover and simmer for about 45 minutes or until beef is tender.
  6. Add mushrooms and peas.
  7. Stir in sour cream.
  8. Heat but do not boil.
  9. Serve over hot rice.
