  1. This is an excellent recipe. I used it for, salmon and sweet potato, fish and chips.

  2. Loved the recipe!! After I soak the halibut/lincod in the batter, I usually roll it in a Panko (Japanese style) bread crumbs and coconut mixture and then fry it. Delicious!!

  3. This is the only recipe I use for beer battering now. The beer batter fried to be thin and crispy. I do add more flour to make it a bit thicker though.

  4. Awesome recipe! It worked great on cod as well. Was nice and crunchy but also light and not too rich! My kids loved it as well, so that's a big plus in my books! I did like one other person said, and added a bit more salt, and it was perfect.

  5. This was delicious. We have tons of halibut from a fishing trip and I have tried many different ways to cook it. This was the best! Kind of like fish covered in a funnel cake.... mmmmm!

Tweaks

  1. We didn’t have any beer, so I used Cook’s champagne. It worked great, and the halibut was delicious!
