Beer Batter Waffles

"These waffles are light and delicious. The beer replaces yeast and the honey gives them a nice crunch. My family loves them."

  1. Great recipe! I’ve made banana bread beer pancakes several times. Loved the switch. I added chopped walnuts to go with the banana bread them and a maple hot sauce to top. Thanks for the recipe. :)

  3. These are delicious. They weren't *quite* as crispy on the outside as I'd like, but they were super fluffy and very easy to put together. Thank you! I used a bottle of Sweetwater 420.

  4. These are great all purpose waffles. They tasted great with fruit and whipped cream and also with plain old maple syrup! I did have to cook mine longer than the waffle maker told me to to get the crispy outside. Made for ZWT 7.

  5. I have to say that they flavor of these waffles is delish! I did reduce the recipe by 1/2, which yielded 6 waffles. I have a Belgian waffle maker, which makes 2 rectangles per session. It has been awhile since I made waffles, and I should have probably left them in for another minute or two, but they were OK. I think this will definitely go into the weekly Sunday breakfast rotation (which DH usually makes!) Thanks so much for sharing, CaliforniaJan.
