- 12 ounces beer (not dark)
- 4 bratwursts (about 1 lb)
- 1 large sweet onion
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 teaspoon pepper
- 1⁄4 teaspoon adobo seasoning
- 4 hot dog buns
directions
- Pierce brats with a knife.
- Place brats in a sauce pan.
- Add beer.
- Bring to a boil.
- Lower heat to a simmer.
- Simmer 15 minutes uncovered.
- Heat up grill.
- Thinly slice onion seperate into rings.
- Place onion rings on a large sheet of foil.
- Drizzle with olive oil.
- Sprinkle with salt,pepper & adobo.
- Fold foil & seal.
- Place on grill 10-15 minutes or until tender.
- Drain brats.
- Place on grill.
- Grill about 10 minutes, or until nicely browned, turning at least once.
- Place brats in rolls top with onions.
- Garnish as desired.
