  1. My mom used to make bread from this exact recipe (only thing different was 3T of flour instead of 2, and at 350 degrees). This is a very good tasting quick bread, it pairs well with soups and stews. It bakes up very crumbly, almost the texture of a drop biscuit. It tastes good even with cheap beer!
     
  2. I had to select this recipe for the Pick-A-Chef game as it was so intriguing to make bread using the beer. I got a nice loaf out of it and we enjoyed it. It is a bit crusty on the outside but nice and soft on the inside. I used a local beer, Sprecher Special Amber, and baked in a greased loaf pan.
