Directions

  1. Cook bacon till crisp and crumble (set aside).
  2. Add onion to the bacon drippings and cook till golden brown (about 6 minutes).
  3. Stir in beer, catsup, honey and brown mustard.
  4. Cook, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened, about 10 minutes.
  5. Stir in the beans and reserved bacon, bring to a simmer.
  6. Cover and bake for 1 hour.
  7. Uncover and continue baking until the beans have absorbed most of the liquid and look glazed, about 30 minutes.
  8. Serve hot.
