Berkeley Spiced Cider

- 3 cups orange juice
- 3⁄4 cup lemon juice
- 1⁄2 cup sugar
- 6 cinnamon sticks
- 1 tablespoon whole cloves
- 1 tablespoon ground nutmeg
- 3 quarts apple cider
- 1⁄2 cup Applejack
directions
- Combine orange juice, lemon juice, sugar, 6 cinnamon sticks, cloves, and nutmeg in a Dutch oven over medium heat; cook until sugar dissolves and mixture is thoroughly heated.
- Add cider, stirring well.
- Add applejack, if desired.
- Strain mixture, discarding cinnamon sticks and cloves; pour into cups.
- Serve with cinnamon sticks in each drink, if desired.
