  1. Sauce onion in oil in a medium saucepan for 1-2 minutes.
  2. Add garlic and gingerroot and sauce 3 more minuts.
  3. Stir in remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil.
  4. Lower heat and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring often.
  5. Cool sauce, then refrigerate in a closed container for up to 2 weeks.
