YUM! I have been experimenting with making my own margs, trying to steer clear of the sugary mixes. I used Fresca (0 sugars) in place of 7Up, and Margaritaville tequila with lime! I don't have to look any further, this is the best recipe ever. Would even be good with some fresh fruit mixed in.... thinking raspberries? Happy Summer and thanks for the great drink.

OK I have to admit that this is the best Margarita recipe I have found. These will sneak up and get you if your not careful. It was a little sweet for some of my friends so I added another beer (Corona) and 1/2 of the lime-aid on the second pitcher. I used Fresca because it was what I had. This one is a keeper and a HUGE "Thank-You" to Kittencal for another great recipe.

These are a hit with my Bunco group, camping friends and game night friends. As other reviewers have commented, they can be a little sweet. I use club soda instead of Sprite or other sweet soda. I also add about 1/2 cup triple sec and 1/2 cup orange juice. It makes for smoother drink and my guests gave that modification thumbs up after having had both versions.
