Best Buffalo Wing Sauce!!

"ONLY use FRANKS RED HOT for this recipe please! It is the reason this sauce is soooooo perfectly perfect!! My whole family freaks every time I make this. You can toss traditional fried chicken wings in it or try something new like shrimp or boneless skinless chicken tenderloins. Whatever you like "Buffalo Style" this is your sauce... I like to serve with the traditional celery sticks and bleu cheese dressing."

Reviews

 1. This is good, but a bit salty. Next time I would make sure the wings themselves have less salt, or maybe use unsalted butter. When I bought my Frank's, I noticed they make a buffalo sauce. Wonder it that is this, pre-made?

Update - tried this again and substituted chipotle chili powder for the cayenne powder...heaven! That little hint of smokiness makes a world of difference.

 2. very good but too much butter. I made wings for one. I only needed 1 tablespoon butter 1/2 c. Franks, and 1 tsp cayenne very tasty!

 3. Tried this recipe today because I had some leftover wings in the refrigerator from our favorite Chicken Wing spot. The problem was, they were a wee bit dry so I was hoping fo a miracle. I have to say " Bravo "

 4. Yes. Roasted chicken thighs at very high heat to crisp skin, then slathered this on 'em and baked a little more. Yum!

 5. The sauce is good, but would have been too hot for my wife. I ended up adding an 8th cup of sugar and about half a cup of heavy cream...it turned out way better than expected. Super unhealthy with all that cream on top of butter, but really good.

Tweaks

 1. I used Texas Petes Hot sauce instead

 2. Seemed silly using a premade sauce with butter, but it was good! I subbed chipotle powder for the cayenne.
