- 15 cups popped popcorn
- 1⁄2 cup margarine
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1⁄4 cup corn syrup
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 teaspoon baking soda
directions
- Mix margarine, sugar, syrup, and salt in pot. Bring to boil on medium heat, and boil for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat, and add baking soda. Stir until foamy throughout.
- Pour over popcorn, and mix well.
- Spread evenly on cookie sheet, and bake at slow 200°F oven for 1 hour. This last baking step ensures crispy popcorn. Enjoy!

I live in St Albert, Ab., Canada. That is just north of Edmonton. I was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and moved here in 1981. I have been married for 24 years, and have 2 children, one of which is now married. I work full time at Canada Post, which keeps me fairly busy, but I do enjoy to cook...when I have time.
