  1. These were very good...quick and easy to put together and didn't require beating egg whites. They are very light and fluffy, with a crunchy outside.

  2. Pretty good, but pretty unhealthy. I exchanged half of the flour for whole wheat flour and it was still really good.

  3. I made this for breakfast this moring and yum! I will be making this one again. Sad to see more people who use the recipes here do not rate them! Once I try a recipe I do rate it, hopefully this trend will catch on! Thank you for posting this recipe, it is a keeper!

  4. I wanted an easy recipe for waffles and this worked with some tweaking. My kiddo likes a sweeter waffle so I added 1 t. vanilla and 6 tablespoons of sugar. The batter was too thin and wouldn't steam out so the waffles would get fluffy, so I added 1/4 to 1/2 c. more flour. It turned out to be the recipe I was looking for. I cool extra waffles on a wire rack, wrap in wax paper, place in a freezer bag and freeze. The kiddo sticks them into the toaster for a quick breakfast during the week. They are much better for her than store bought due to an additive that gives her headaches. So happy I found this recipe! Thank you for sharing this recipe.

  5. I liked the ease of these waffles. I made as directed and thought they were good. Next time I will add a couple tablespoons of sugar and a tablespoon of vanilla to give a little more flavor. My kids really liked them. I got 12 square waffles out of this recipe.

I live in Utah and work as a secretary for the local university. I got married in Dec. of 2004, and cooking has become my greatest hobby. I love to try new things and I'm trying to broaden my husband's culinary tastes (before we got married, the only spices he was aware of were salt and pepper, if you count them as spices). I like all of my cookbooks, though Tai food is probably my favorite. I don't want anymore cookbooks, though, b/c cookbooks are supposed to be used, and I've got enough to fill a menu in one month without repeating any cookbooks...I go straight through them, trying every recipe and marking it with a code to know when, if, and how I should make it again.
