Best Family French Toast

"This is my families favorite french toast. I make it once a week. This recipe makes a lot but you can store leftovers in the fridge or freezer and just pop them in the toaster for a quick weekday breakfast."

  1. I cheated and just put all ingredients together and whisked it all and then dipped in the bread. Still worked beautifully! I've used white vienna loaves and lately thick slices of wholemeal bread too! Kids don't know the difference! And as for the freezer method.....GENIUS!!!!

  2. Boring, I thought it was a lot of extra work to just add a bit of cinnamon and nutmeg flavor

  3. This was delicious, very moist and flavorful. I used 1/4 inch thick homemade white-wheat bread so the recipe made about 6 slices. I was out of brown sugar so I used white and a teaspoon of molasses. Thanks Bridget!

  4. Excellent idea, Bridget. What a timesaver, and a great way to use up your 3-day old bread. Your French Toast recipe is delicious, but I never thought to freeze the leftover French Toast for later use. Kudos to you for a wonderful idea. Thanks. Now I have to go buy a new fridge with a bigger freezer.
