  1. Add some chopped green olives, crunchy bacon and some caramelized onions & BAM!! makes this potato salad the bomb!!

  2. Great potato salad! Sprinkled a little paprika on top, no other changes. Thanks for sharing the recipe!

  3. Very good. I used relish instead of pickles, added more egg yolks, and a little more celery and it came out really good. I will use this again!

  4. I'm eating it right now as I type. MMMMM good! It is easy to make. My husband made this batch. He used celery salt instead of regular salt too. I'm making this for every family get together. Not good for my diet though lol.

  5. This is exactly the recipe I was looking for. It was my first time making potato salad homemade. I made a few minor tweaks: I only had dill pickles, so I used only those. I also used Vegenaise mayo, but still put egg in half of the recipe to see what it adds to the flavor, for future reference. Thanks for sharing!

  2. This is a great recipe! I made as directed only using sweet pickle relish instead of the gherkins or dill pickles. Thanks, Nimz!

  3. I had a hard time feeding 6 people using only 4 c. potatoes, so I doubled the recipe. I left out the sweet pickles and used all dill instead. I used mayo. Love the addition of the celery seed in the recipe. I added lots of fresh cracked pepper. I found it to be a tad too salty, as I cooked the potatoes in salt, plus the salt from the pickles. Next time I will cut down. All in all a good basic salad that will be repeated with a few changes. Thanks for sharing Nimz!

  4. Excellent! My family loved this recipe so much. It is perfect: no excessive ingredients, great flavor and easy. I couldn't believe how many ingredients that alot of other potato salad recipe required which is why I chose this one. What a lucky find! I made the recipe exactly as stated except I had to use sweet & dill relish instead of pickles because I didn't have any. And I used 1 tsp celery salt instead of the celery seeds and salt. What a yummy recipe! You won't be disappointed or exhausted with this one.

I was one of the original members of Recipezaar that was truly a community of individuals that enjoyed each other in forums and chat rooms. I've been a member of this site since 2003. Made some tremendous friends that I still think of often. I'll continue coming here because my recipes are here and so many more that I tried over the years as a member. It's just a tad boring now and just another recipe site like all the rest. Sad.
