Ingredients Nutrition

  • 1 (16 ounce) bag coleslaw mix
  • 2 slices bacon, diced
  • soy sauce or teriyaki sauce

Directions

  1. Fry bacon in medium hot skillet until crisp.
  2. Remove bacon from pan and pour off all but about 2 tablespoons of the drippings.
  3. Add the cabbage to hot skillet and a bit of water to de-glaze the pan.
  4. Reduce heat and cover pan.
  5. Stir occasionally and cook until mostly wilted.
  6. Turn the heat down to medium-low and let cook, stirring frequently, until cabbage is starting to caramelize (brown), about 10 minutes.
  7. Do not let burn.
  8. Add preferred sauce to taste, return bacon to cabbage and serve.
