  • 1 cup bhutanese red rice
  • 1 34 cups water

directions

  • Wash 1 cup rice thoroughly.
  • Soak for 45 minutes in 1 3/4 cup cold water.
  • Cook rice in covered pot until it start to boil.
  • Turn down heat to very low and cook for 35 minutes.
  • Turn off heat and let sit for 15 minutes.

I am a fine-food-a-holic who is specializing these days in creating everything from scratch. No more processed, chemicalized foods. If I can't make it or find it in its basic state (including locally raised beef and poultry), I don't eat it. I love to cook szechwan style foods and anything with ginger and garlic! I believe that garlic, evoo and salt are the true trinity.
