Bills Irish Coffee

"I got this recipe from a chef in St. Paul quite a few years ago.. I must have made it 40 times since them..You can sub for the Irish Whiskey writh a good brady or cognac .Both are good."

  • 34 ounce Irish whiskey
  • 12 ounce cream
  • 1 cup coffee
  • 1 orange slice
  • 2 teaspoons sugar (to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 teaspoons orange zest
  • whipped cream

  • Brew Coffee. Run the orange around the top of the coffee cup and right away run the tops of the cups thru the 1 tablespoon Sugar. Then using a candle lighter or long lighter to heat the sugar on both sides till melted.pour coffee in then whiskey then cream if you are using it.Add wipped cream and top cream with orange zest then enjoy.

I am especially interested in baking and coming up with new recipes. I still like learning from others. I like to find a way to to cut calories , carbs and sugar. Being diabetic and liking sweet things presents me with quite a challenge .
