1. My Mother made this when I was younger. Since we ate meatless on Fridays, it was always a favorite. I usually make it now on Good Friday, my husband loves it and the taste is not bad. I would suggest that it be made as it is written, with the proper ingredients.

 2. Didn't have any of the right ingredients: -used corn instead of celery -yellow onion instead of green onion -half and half w/ water instead of milk -3 eggs -lime juice and rind instead of lemon -2 garlic cloves -dill -1/4 t of pepper instead of 1/8 and it tasted still a bit bland. definatly wouldn't use the lime juice again. cook it until it's golden even if it's more than 40 min or else the bisquick tasted raw. probably wouldn't try again even with the right ingredients.

 3. This was pretty bland. It needed a bunch of dill, and maybe more garlic, and the sharpest cheese possible. I wanted to like it, but the best I could say is that the lemony taste was very good with the tuna. And after I froze it, and reheated it later, it tasted much better.

 4. "Great comfort food dish!" according to my DIL. I also used 2 cans of tuna and added some dill weed as others have suggested. This is a very adaptable recipe - we're going to try it with leftover turkey and may toss in some peas and a dash of herbs next time. Easy to assemble and you can sit down and relax while it's baking.

 5. Just made this with our gluten-free "bisquick" mix. YUMMY! The kids (4 & 2.5 years) each gobbled 1/8 of the pie! I was surprised. A couple other changes I made--more onion (yellow--we love onions), 1 c shredded baby swiss (didn't have cheddar), some dill mixed in too. Nice & quick for a Sunday evening. Thanks! We will be making it again!

We own a small ranch located in Napa, California. We used to be considered odd because we grew most of our food and lived frugally. Now we are viewed as trendy- go figure!

Anyway, we raise chickens for meat and eggs, have tons of fruits and vegetables and do it all without using pesticides or chemicals.

We also cook almost everything we eat from scratch. It takes a lot longer, but ours is the house that everyone wants an invitation to dinner at.
