  1. Followed the directions, but, this wasn't moist enough and not enough flavor per DH, and he knows his cakes. He is like Mikey and will eat most anything, lol. This just didn't work for us. I love Kahlua and was excited to make this. I would have liked it a little better if I would have left the glaze off it.

  2. Excellent, moist cake! I used a white cake mix since that's what I had on hand. Otherwise followed the recipe to a T. Since it made such a large cake, I shared 1/3 with the elderly neighbors, 1/3 for Kahlua loving friends and left the last 1/3 for us. (They LOVED it too.) Be sure to dust it with powdered sugar just before serving; the cake is sooooo moist it will just absorbs right into the cake. I'll make this again--just wonderful!

  3. This is one of the best cakes I've ever made.....very moist and full of great flavor.

  4. My entire family LOVES this cake, including my two-year-old son! For the glaze, we only use enough Kahlua to moisten the powdered sugar. Extremely quick and easy to make, but it tastes like you slaved away. Yummy!

  5. I make this cake exactly this way except I poke holes in the cake and pour some glaze on it before removing from the pan and then again after removing it. At one time I had some chocolate confectioners sugar and used that in the glaze. Yummy!
