  • Whip egg yolk and baking soda into the water in a large bowl.
  • Sift in the flour and mix well.
  • Batter should be thin.
  • Dip blossom, twirl to coat well.
  • Place in a pan with 2" oil and fry for 1 minute, turn and fry for another minute.
  • Place on paper towel to drain.
  • Sprinkle with sifted powdered sugar while still draining and hot.
  • OR - omit sugar and serve with a small dipping bowl of berry syrup.
