BLT Dip

"I copied this from a Paula Deen recipe on FoodNetwork.com but made a few changes in attempt to add flavor and lighten it up just a bit. I also see there are many similar recipes on RecipeZaar, but mine is slightly different. It was a hit the few times that I have made it and others have copied with rave reviews. The only negative comment I received is that it needs more bacon...but who doesn't need more bacon?"

 • MIx together Mayonnaise, Sour Cream, Roasted Garlic, Red Onion, parsley, and season to taste with Salt & Pepper. Spread out on a large serving platter, about 1/2 - 3/4 inch thick. Sprinkle tomatoes, lettuce, and bacon on top.
 • I like to serve with plain salted bagel chips and a pizza crust, sliced into bite sized pieces.

 1. This was something different that we liked. I didn't have time to roast the garlic so added 1 tbsp minced garlic. I would definitely roast the garlic to give it a more mild taste.

I am a pretty good home cook and a Food Network junkie. Every time I host an event or create a new dish, my confidence grows....I'm always testing new ideas and sometimes (I'm a nerd) that dreams in food.

I was proud to have one of my recipes chosen as RecipeZaar's Recipe of the Day on 11/27/09 with my Turkey, Cranberry, & Pesto Sandwich. I also had the opportunity to cook at the Aetna Healthy Food Fight competition in Los Angeles last summer - talk about pressure!
