  1. Ok, I had to go with the most basic form of this recipe, no olives, no bacon. I did roll the ball in ground almonds when I was done mixing it up. Well, the cheese ball is supposed to be for tomorrow...I just hope there is enough left by then. It's fabulous! Thanks for sharing this keeper!

  2. I'm only giving this 4 stars because I changed the recipe. We had a guest coming who I knew HATES black olives (gasp!)....but I really thought this sounded good, so I used finely chopped cooked bacon. And oh, baby, was it GOOD!

  3. Oh, boy, is this stuff good! I used a full 8 ounces of bleu because we just love it. The addition of butter was, indeed, a good idea. It's very creamy even when chilled. Taking another member's suggestion, I sprayed my hands with cooking spray before making the mixture into a ball. This worked nicely as I didn't end up with a lot of cheese on my hands. Thanks for posting this. We will have it many more times.

  4. Although I have never tasted blue cheese, I made this cheese ball for an open house. It was fantastic. I, too, rolled it in chopped pecans that I had roasted. Will make this again.

  5. This is excellent! We particularly like the addition of butter to this cheese ball. I too rolled it in chopped walnuts and served it with assorted crackers. A real hit with everyone. Thanks so much for sharing this, JackieMarie.

I am a stay at home mom of three wonderful kids age 12, 10 & 9. We are very busy when it comes to spring time with sports so trying to find quick good dishes is hard. I love to browse this website and find so many interesting recipes. I am a huge fan of finding good deals to decorate our home. Switching things up and moving things around is always a good thing. I would love to learn how to garden. I always have "visions" in my head of what I want something to look like but have no clue how to execute it.
