Blue-Footed Booby

"This sweet, creamy drink is named after the long-winged seabirds that breed off the Pacific coast of South America. I found the recipe on the cruisecritic.com website. It uses a sugarcane-based liqueur called Cana Manabita that is produced in Ecuador. If you cannot find Cana Manabita, Brazilian Cachaca is a nice substitute. Or, as a third option, you could use a good-quality rum (though it won't produce exactly the same taste as either of the South American liqueurs). The datbase doesn't recognize Cana Manabita, so I hope I don't confuse anyone by the way I had to list that ingredient."

  1. Nice fruity drink!! I made 1/2 of the recipe and did add a little more pineapple juice. Mine turned out to be almost greenish, but pretty!! Thanks for sharing the recipe. Made for ZWT 7.

This site used to be awesome. It was at the top of its game when it was called Recipezaar, but that was many years ago. The site was purchased by Scripps and belly-flopped into mediocrity. A few of the faithful members remained, hoping to wait out the storm of corporate nonsense. But alas, it never got better and just continued on its terminal path to nothingness. So most of the loyal members have vanished and made homes at better recipe sites.
