Directions

  1. Bring blueberries, sugar, and salt to a boil over medium heat.
  2. Mash berries while stirring.
  3. Simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
  4. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
  5. Purée mixture with milk just until smooth.
  6. Stir in cream.
  7. Strain mixture and chill for at least 2 hours or up to 1 day.
  8. Freeze according to ice cream maker instructions.
