ingredients
- 1⁄2 cup butter
- 1 1⁄4 cups sugar (set aside 1/4 c. for topping)
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups flour
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 cup milk
- 2 cups blueberries (fresh or frozen)
- 1⁄4 teaspoon nutmeg (set aside for topping)
directions
- Mix together all ingredients except ¼ cup sugar, blueberries and nutmeg.
- Once well blended, fold in blueberries.
- Divide evenly in greased or lined muffin tin.
- Sprinkle remaining sugar (and nutmeg, if desired) on top of muffin batter.
- Bake @ 375 degrees Fahrenheit for about 30 minutes.
- Let cool 10 minutes before removing from pan.
