Blueberry Pineapple Smoothie

"I whipped this up on the spur of the moment, having no idea it would taste this good! I used fresh blueberries and canned pineapple. I am sure it would taste just as good using frozen blueberries and fresh pineapple. The first time I made this smoothie, the intense color about knocked my socks off! My husband and I love this smoothie and I hope you will enjoy it too!"

  1. Thank you for posting! I'm trying to eat healthy & wasn't sure if my frozen blueberries & canned pineapple would taste good together. I use plain Greek yogurt, stevia, frozen blueberries, & canned pineapple, & salt.. yes, salt. If you want to know why, you may ask. Delicious.

  2. My son suggested I "make him a pineapple smoothie for him" (nice, huh?) since we had pineapple in the fridge. I had the Food.com web site open on my phone's browser so I just typed it in. He saw this one and said "That one sounds good!" Threw it together with some blueberry yogurt in the nutribullet and he was a happy kid! The only down side is the pineapple fibers and blueberry skins get caught on the blades. But my boy went to school with a nutritious drink so I'm good. Next time I'll add a little protein powder.

  3. I doubled the recipe and served it for breakfast for the two of us. I used fresh pineapple, and frozen blueberries. I also used plain low-fat yogurt, and added two servings of vanilla hemp protein powder. As the pineapple was fresh, I didn't have juice, so I added some orange juice instead. It was delicious (and perfectly sweet), and will definitely become a staple in our house!

  4. Great drink, although I used unsweetened yogurt with maple. 5 Stars!

  5. I followed this recipe just as it was written, with the exception of the yoghurt. I used plain low fat yoghurt. It tasted delicious! Perfect for when you are craving something sweet, & a better alternative to ice cream. Great, refreshing drink! Will be making this for my family as well.
