What a great treat for kids and adults alike! Great to look at and very yummy, too. Plus super healthy. What else could you want?! I scaled this down to two servings and used none of the optionals. Added more cinnamon than asked for and voila had my great breakkie ready, which kept me going til lunch time! :) THANKS SO MUCH for sharing this lovely recipe here with us, ~Rita~! Made and reviewed for Veggie Swap #18, January 2010. P.S.: The little ghost is home-made. ;)

This was my first time with steeloats. I have them on my shelf for baking purposes, but never to eat as oatmeal. I only have ever eaten the regular type. It has a different type texture than the usual and of course a longer cooking time. I did mine in the micro as I was starving after a weight training session. I also used a combination of flax, cinnamon, and brownsugar blend that I keep on hand made up for all my oatmeal brekky's. I'll make this again with the bananas as I'm sure it will be equally as filling and yummy!!! Thanks Rita. Made for April Spice of the Month 08. (that being cinnamon):-) My favorite spice.
