This was a great marinade! I only had 2 hours, but wish it would have been able to soak up that yummy goodness for 3 hours. I was pleasantly surprised with the steelhead. . .it was our first time trying it and I like it! I am NOT a fan of salmon and it sure looked a lot like salmon before and after cooking. . .but it is much less fishy. . .YEAH!!! Thanks for a keeper of a recipe. I wanted to update this to say that I used the other half of the steelhead today in another recipe and I have to say that this recipe really takes the fishy taste out of the fish! I will definitely try this out on salmon! So I am back today with yet one more update - yes another! I made this again yesterday and let the trout marinate for 8 hours which was a tad bit too much and so I think 6 hours is the magic number for us. It was sinfully delish! And this time I FORGOT (bad me) to put in the bourbon and used fresh squeezed blood orange juice for the citrus and it was amazing. Thanks so much for posting this new family favorite!
