“A very easy recipe for a "comfort-food". We threw this together when we all wanted something for a "nosh" and we used what we had on hand. This we did at a friend's house, where I had spent the day. Very loosely based on a recipe of Martha Stewart's.”

Ingredients Nutrition


  1. Cook pasta in a large pot of boiling salted water until al dente, according to package directions.
  2. Drain pasta; return to pot.
  3. Meanwhile, heat butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
  4. Add onion & mushrooms; cook, stirring, until light brown, about 10 minutes. Then add garlic; cook 1 minute longer.
  5. Add peas and half-and-half; season with salt, black pepper & red pepper flakes, if using.
  6. Simmer until thickened, 3 to 4 minutes.
  7. Add shrimp to sauce; cook until heated through, 1 to 2 minutes.
  8. Toss sauce with pasta & a sprinkling of Parmesan cheese.
  9. Serve with grated Parmesan.
  10. Enjoy!
