Brad's Pumpkin Bread

"This is an old family favorite............it's a wonderful mix of pumpkin and spices,very nice in the morning for breakfast.My mom usually makes this at Christmas,but I think it is great anytime...best served warm with butter."

  • Mix all ingredients together and beat until smooth.
  • (I put the mixture in a big bowl and then seperate into individual loaf tins) Bake at 350 for 45 to 55 minutes.
  • Makes about 7 loaves.

  1. Absolutely, melt in the mouth delicious. I cut recipe in half and made one normal size loaf. Topped it with a light orange glaze.Mmmmmmmmmm!!! This is a definite keeper. Great recipe.
     
  2. This was delicious bread! The pumpkin flavour was a bit subtle, I would prefer it stronger. I made the mistake of greasing the pan, and the bread was so moist that caused it to stick to the sides a bit. I used self-rising flour and omitted salt and baking soda. Wonderfully moist!
     
  3. This was PERFECT as written! I made the entire batch in one large glass baking pan, greased and floured, which took about 60 minutes at 350. Incredibly moist, yet very stable. Frosted it with cream cheese frosting. Thanks Irish Chef 54 for this new keeper!!
