  • Saute onions, cabbage and seasonings in oil, just until it loses it's crispiness.
  • Add beef stock.
  • Simmer for 5 minutes.

  2. I love cabbage and any way I can get my family to eat it too is a good way! I really liked how the rich beef stock and crushed red pepper combination gives new life to cooked cabbage. I served it with recipe #232839 and recipe #179450, and DH discovered that he could make a delicious sandwich by layering all three dishes! Thanks for posting this one, Katie! Made and enjoyed for the February 2012 African Recipe Tag game. :)
     
  3. Very nice cabbage side dish. I used butter instead of oil, otherwise no changes. It's gotta a little "kick" to it from the red pepper flakes. I used a nice, rich beef broth....the broth really makes the recipe.....use good stuff! I'll make this again; thanx!
