Braised Gnocchi in Tomato Sausage Sauce

  • Heat an oven proof skillet over medium heat, add the oil.
  • Add gnocchi and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. If you have a smaller skillet, you may need to do this in multiple batches.
  • Remove gnocchi to a large bowl and set aside.
  • Brown sausage, breaking it into small pieces. Once cooked, add to the gnocchi.
  • Add tomato and garlic to the pan, and cook for 2 minutes breaking apart the whole tomato pieces. Add chicken broth, and bring to a simmer.
  • Stir in 1/2 of the basil and all of the rosemary. Then add gnocchi mixture.
  • Top with the cheese, and broil on HI for 4 minutes or until brown.
  • Sprinkle remaining basil on top and serve.
