Bran Muffins
"This is my mothers recipe for bran muffins which we have found keep well and are lovely and moist. It was given to my mother by her sister."

5 texas muffins
ingredients
- 1 cup natural bran
- 1 cup flour
- 20 g butter
- 1 teaspoon golden syrup
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup milk
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1⁄2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 egg, beaten
directions
- Put bran, flour, sugar, cinnamon, and baking soda into bowl and mix.
- Melt butter and syrup add milk and egg and add to dry ingredients.
- Lastly add baking powder and baking soda.
- Put into tin I use the Texas muffins and bake at 200°C until cooked.
