  • Use a good quality Cognac.
  • In a medium saucepan, melt the butter and sugar on medium-low heat until it turns a golden color.
  • Whisk in the cream and simmer a minute or so until the sauce has thickened.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla and brandy.
  • Drizzle over each slice of cranberry pudding.
  • This sauce can he refrigerated until needed and then reheated.
