Bread for Cinnamon Rolls

"Very old recipe from a hand written cookbook from Neligh Ne. Recipe uses cake yeast but I am putting dried yeast in. No filling in this recipe but I do have filling recipes that you could use."

  • Proof yeast in warm water.
  • Add lard to hot milk; cool.
  • Add yeast mixture.
  • Add beaten eggs.
  • Stir in flour and salt.
  • Let rise until doubled.
  • Punch down; let rise again.
  • Punch down; roll out and put in pan.
  • That is all that is written in this recipe.
  • Bake 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes, I am guessing. I have cinnamon goop recipes from other old recipes.
