  1. I used my own mix of 3 cups "1/2 and 1/2 bread flour" (1/2 unbleached flour + 1/2 whole wheat flour + 1 tbs vital wheat gluten for every cup of flour ), about 1 tbsp of molasses, 1/4 c. sugar plus a handful (or two) of chocolate chips. It came out very tall and fluffy after baking on 1.5lb loaf, whole wheat cycle -- with a dark color, great aroma, and a lightly sweet taste! The kids loved it warm with a little butter and I knew there was a lot of protein and nutrition without all the sugar and carbs of cold cereal, most muffins, or even sweetened oatmeal!

  2. This was really great! I am always looking for something easy that has little or no sugar for a snack for my son. I used 1 overripe banana I had in my freezer. It worked just fine and my son loved it!

  3. I was expecting a sweeter tasting bread, but it just tasted like bread with a little smell of peanuts. My DH and I both thought it was awful, but my 5 and 3 yr. olds ate it! I didn't use any gluten and I reversed the order of ingredients in the pan.

  4. Great tasting bread. I didn't have gluten, and it worked fine. I wasn't too sure about the bananas - mashed?? diced?? so I diced them and it worked well.

I am a stay at home mom of 3 girls ages 16,14, and 12...My 16 year old has acted like she was 30 since she was 2, and strongwilled as well...so life is never dull around here. I love surfing the web and taking care of my children. If I had a month off I would take my kids to as many vacation spots as I could and enjoy our time together. Since my children are younger, I could use kid friendly recipes and delicious casserole dishes that I can make for me when I have to cater to their favorite foods. Recipezaar has inspired me to be interested in cooking and sharing recipes! Thanks My Pet Peeves~Don't Touch My Hair Or Feet!
