  • For Pudding:

  • Soak bread in milk 5 minutes.
  • Add sugar, butter and salt.
  • Pour slowly over eggs.
  • Add vanilla and mix well.
  • Pour into greased 1 1/2 quart baking dish.
  • Bake over pan of hot water in oven at 350 degrees until firm, about 1 hour.
  • For Sauce:

  • Mix sugar,flour and salt; add water and cook over low heat until thick.
  • Add butter and lemon juice.
