"This is from my back in the day recipe file that was given to me in 1984. I have found this to be a no fail reliable quiche,& I've served this to the girls from nursing school during those marathon study sessions, and family and friends."

  1. Wow, thank you Dawn. :-) I have been looking for this recipe using the Knorr leek soup mix for a LONG time because it was a real favourite and unfortunately I had lost it. Sometimes I substitute Swiss cheese for the cheddar, and just crisp fry up bacon instead of ham and throw in a few sliced mushrooms.. It's FAST, it's delicious, and it always turns out consistently perfect.. Hey, if we want to put a hot meal on the table in record time, sometimes we need to use a few shortcuts; I'm all for conveniences to help the busy women of today, particularly the young working mothers because child rearing and life in general is full of so many daunting issues and challenges.these days..

  2. This is a great and easy recipe! I deleted the ham (Lent season) and replaced with rice. Absolutely wonderful! Now, addressing another review, I also want to refrain from pre-packagked items, but cooking a meal should be a fun experience for you and a great tasty experience for your family! Sometimes, you gotta give, and this is the recipe to do so! Go Girl!

  3. I used to make this years ago and was so glad to refind the recipe, I made it without the ham, and put a picture up. Great meal in itself!!

  4. I've been making this quiche for twenty years. It's absolutely great and always turns out perfectly.

  5. How can you call this cooking? Throwing frozen and packaged and ready made food together and calling it homemade??? Dont understand this type of "cooking"

I?m ?originally from Texas, but now live in Florida. Still gotta have that spice though....love chipotle peppers, habaneros, and jalapenos. This is a picture of myself & my 2 daughters taken in Dec'06. I am working on my graduate degree, & still work as a nurse prn. When I'm not cooking and eating what I cook... I head for the gym to work out. As far as cookbooks, I love the church/ community cookbooks, where someone has dug out old handwritten recipes by granny and shared them with others-those are the best kind. If I had a month off, I'd for sure go hiking, would love to visit Australia and New Zealand.?
