  1. Clean and cut broccoli into 1/2 inch pieces.
  2. Steam in 1/2 cup water.
  3. Do not drain; set aside.
  4. wash and slice mushrooms.
  5. Melt butter in saucepan over medium heat.
  6. Add flour, cook 2 to 4 minutes.
  7. Add chicken stock, stirring with wire whip and bring to boil.
  8. Turn heat to low.
  9. Add broccoli, half and half and spices.
  10. Heat, but do not boil.
