Broccoli Salad
"Wandering around Trader Joe's one day I found them sampling this delicious Broccoli Salad. I make it all the time now. Everytime I make it everyone just raves about the flavor, especially my husband. He would ask for it everyday if I would make it that often. The original recipe calls for 1 package of Prosciutto but we have always omitted that."

ingredients
- 8 cups broccoli florets
- 3 cups red grapes, sliced in half
- 1 cup red onion, chopped
- 1 cup celery, chopped
- 1 cup slivered almonds

Dressing
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1⁄4 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- salt (to taste)
- pepper (to taste)
directions
- Toss all ingredients.
- Mix dressing ingredients and pour on top of salad. Mix well.
- Serve.
- Enjoy!

This was a little different than other I've tried, so I thought it was nice change. I did add the Prosciutto though because I had some on hand. -
This is truly the best recipe I have found for broccoli, or any vegetable salad. I substituted Splenda for the sugar and used light mayonnaise and it was still delicious. It is now one of the most requested recipes in our home. Thanks Sky Hostess for a great recipe. -
This was a big hit at our office pot luck this week. I substituted light mayonnaise and used Splenda instead of sugar and you couldn't tell the difference. This is so healthy, you can eat lots without feeling guilty! Thanks for posting. -

My husband and I moved to Northeast Arizona (up in the mountains) in April (2007). We live near Show Low. The summer was absolutely beautiful! It never got to 100 degrees! Coming from Phoenix, we both enjoy being away from the heat and the city. Our first snow this year was absolutely gorgeous!
My recipe ratings pretty much follow the star system. I will usually make a recipe as is the first time. I say usually but I do still change things sometimes. I try to be fair if I have made changes. I will rate 5 stars if we LOVE it and it will be a regular dish around our house. 4 stars if we really liked it and 3 stars if it was just OK but we wouldn't make it again. I realize everyone's tastes are different so I do try to be gentle. Cooking can be a very personal thing to someone.
