  1. Wonderful! I never really thought of making my own brown sugar, but this will be handy when I am out of brown sugar. I usually always have molasses on hand. I will use this again.
     
  2. If brown sugar is dry and hardened, throw a couple pieces of apple (1/2 of a 1/4). Softens up beautifully. I let it soften for a day or 2.

  4. This is great! I always try to keep brown sugar on hand, but really do not use it very often, so about once a year I end up throwing out a good deal of dry, hardened brown sugar. It's nice to be able to make up a small, fresh batch when needed. Thank you for sharing this amazing method!
