Ingredients Nutrition

  • 1 (9 inch) unbaked pastry shells
  • 12 cup chopped walnuts
  • 20 caramels, unwrapped
  • 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons margarine or 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 (6 ounce) package semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  2. Sprinkle nuts into pie shell.
  3. In small saucepan, over low heat, melt caramels with 2/3 cup condensed milk.
  4. Spoon over walnuts.
  5. In bowl, combine egg, margarine and remaining milk; mix well.
  6. Stir in melted chips.
  7. Pour mixture over caramel layer.
  8. Bake 35 minutes or until center is set. Cool.
  9. Serve warm or chilled.
  10. Refrigerate leftovers.
