Brownie Pudding

"A fabulous fix for chocoholics! The boiling water forms a thick, scrumptious pudding covered by the fantasically rich brownie. It's a bit like a souffle, but with a wonderful twist!"

  1. I'm afraid I didn't care much for this recipe either. Did not like the pudding nor the brownie part of the recipe. Prepared it exactly as it was written. Didn't change a thing. Giving it 3 stars, since it was just okay for me and my husband. Don't think this is something I'd make again.

  2. I dont have an oven. Can I make this in my microwave?

  3. I tried this recipe but didn't care for it using the boiling water - it was too thin and bitter - so I changed it up buy replacing the hot water with hot unsweetened vanilla almond milk. That made all the difference in the world! The pudding was creamy and thicker. I'm sure regular milk would work as well.

  4. One of our favorites - we also add chopped nuts to the dry ingrediant mix. And combine the cocoa and brown sugar with the boiling water before pouring it all over the mix. Chef #1478365 may have had bad luck if using a low quality cocoa - but you can always add more cocoa than the recipe calls for.

  5. I dont know how it is possible anyone gave this 5 stars. It is gross and a waste of time. It has no chocolate taste almost at all and the "pudding" is this runny flavorless goo at the bottom that looks like hot fudge but surprisingly has zero taste as well. The cake part is also nasty. Even a big scoop of ice cream can not save the recipe. GROSS

My husband and I are pastors who work with college students and young adults and we absolutely love it! The students are my "kids" and constantly teach me new things and keep my life interesting. I have posted many recipes here at their behest. Sometimes I think they just love me 'cause they know that can come over and get a fresh homecooked meal -a great break from their sketchy college cafeteria food! I grew up in a beautiful, loud, fun, albeit slightly crazy, Spanish-Italian family where cooking is not just about putting food on the table -it is an art. An intense, passionate art of carefully guarded secret recipes. So cooking is in my blood and I enjoy it immensely. I love having dinner parties just so I can whip up fancy new recipes. And the college students are always happy to be my guests!
