- 1 cup flour
- 3⁄4 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons cocoa
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1⁄2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

SAUCE
- 3⁄4 cup brown sugar
- 1⁄4 cup cocoa
- 1 3⁄4 cups hot water
directions
- Place dry ingredients in bowl.
- Add milk, oil, and vanilla.
- Blend until smooth.
- Stir in nuts.
- Pour into greased 2.5 liter baking dish.
- Combine brown sugar and cocoa.
- Sprinkle over batter.
- Pour hot water gently over entire batter.
- Bake 350 for 45 minute.
- Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
