Brownie Pudding

"This is an oven version of ChrissyO's Crockpot Hot Fudge Sundae Cake that I've been doing for years. I got it from my 1976 Better Homes and Gardens New Cookbook. A cake-like brownie will form on the top and a pudding-like sauce will form underneath. Just cut into desired number of servings and turn up-side down into a bowl or onto a saucer and spoon some of the remaining sauce over. This is nice served alone or with vanilla or butterbrickle ice cream on the side. Baking time is approximate, but check for brownie to test clean on toothpick."

 1. I really liked this quick & easy dessert! This got better to me after it sat a day or two(yes, it actually lasted that long as my hubby is not a big sweet eater!) the sauce thickened almost like a hot fudge consistency, really satisfies a craving for an ooey gooey brownie! Awesome on it's own or with whipped cream or ice cream! Will definitely make this again sometime.

 2. I thought I posted a review on this ages ago. this recipe is great....satisfy your chocolate craving for sure. The sauce is to die for. Followed the recipe as written, and didn't think it needed any changed when I do it the next time, which will be soon.

 3. wow! ooey gooey chocolatey, wonderful dessert! and it was so quick and easy to prepare. the sauce underneath is so incredible, this didn't even need whipped or ice cream. the sauce does thicken upon sitting, i hid it so it would last more than 1 day and ,if it's possible, it was better the second time around. thanks so much for this recipe.

 4. Easy to prepare and very, very good. The aroma of chocolate while baking is incredible.

 5. Thank you Cindy Lynn for posting this recipe. It was lovely hot,it was lovely cold but it was best with ice cream as a sundae, topped with chocolate sauce and a dollop of whip cream voila...supreme decadence. We also found that it tasted best on the third day.

I am currently a stay at home Mom and wife (aka: homemaker, domestic engineer, chauffeur, etc.). My husband and I made this choice about 2 1/2 years ago. At the time I was averaging 72 hours/week +. Our kids were complaining that they never saw me, and one of them was even getting in trouble (too little supervision apparently). We got the troubled teen through high school, and she is currently preparing for college. Things have improved a lot so I am considering going back to work part-time while the kids are gone to school (if the right opportunity presents itself).

I love to cook, especially trying new recipes. I get tired of the same ol', same ol'. I also love reading cookbooks and the history of recipes. I always hated doing all the dishes afterwards, so I did a lot of one dish meals whenever possible. Recently, my husband bought me a new dishwasher, so now I am cooking up a storm! Everyone is loving it.

I look forward to making new friends in Recipezaar, trying out new recipes, and hope some of you will try some of mine. Please, if you try my recipes, take time to post a little note telling me about your experience and any modifications you may have made. I just love to experiment and try new things in the kitchen! :-))
