- 1 cup sour cream
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs, divided
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 squares baker's chocolate
- 1 teaspoon butter
- 1 1⁄4 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
directions
- Add sour cream, salt and egg yolks to sugar.
- Melt chocolate and butter over boiling water.
- Add chocolate mix to egg mix.
- Sift flour and soda and add to mixture.
- Fold in beaten egg whites.
- Bake about 30 minutes in a 350 degree Fahrenheit oven.
- Makes 2 small layers or one loaf cake.
