"I created this recipe while raising two children alone. These are easy, fast, inexpensive and can be made out of things we usually have on hand."

directions

 • Cut each biscuit in long strips. Starting at the edge of biscuit and cutting in a circle.
 • Melt butter in cake pan in oven, leave about 2 tablespoons in the bottom of pan and put remaining butter in a separate bowl.
 • Sprinkle brown sugar and pecans in the bottom of pan. Combine sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
 • Rolls biscuit strip in butter then in cinnamon/sugar mixture. Roll strips into a circle and place in bottom of pan.
 • Bake according to label. Turn rolls upside down on a plate. This makes the melted brown sugar ooze down rolls and the pecans come out on top. Enjoy!

 1. Less than a dollar to make it the whole tray. All I needed to buy was the refrigerated buttermilk biscuits, since I have all the other stuff.. (minus the nuts.) I added a cream cheese, very little lemon juice and power sugar for frosting.. The kids love it! Thanks..

 2. Very good and so easy to make. I didn't change a thing to this recipe and they were enjoyed by the whole family. Made for Spring PAC 2009.

 3. DELICIOUS! I made this as written and cooked them at 350 for about 19 minutes. I inverted them onto a plate and they were crunchy AND gooey and very sweet. If you don't like too sweet you may want to cut down on the sugar a bit. I added a cream cheese frosting so, obviously, the sweetness didn't bother me. My 15 year-old birthday girl devoured them!

 4. Woke up with a sick husband who has a big morning sweet tooth and a fairly empty cubboard. Lying there in bed wondering what I could make him. I knew I had butter, sugar, cinnamon and a small can of biscuits. I Googled cinnamon roll recipes and found this one...so I went for it. I too am a country cook...I know how to improvise. I didn't have brown sugar but I had molasses and cane sugar. I had some whole raw almonds. I had a small can of biscuits so I halved the recipe. Pre-heated the oven to 375. Melted the butter in a shallow bowl in the microwave. I added a teaspoon of molasses into the chopped fine almonds, sugar, cinnamon and melted butter in a small ceramic baking dish. I used kitchen shears to snip the biscuits into longer ropes than yours. Dunked em...buried em...rolled em...baked em...yummed em with hot coffee! Delicious...fast...easy...now hubby will want me to make them often.

 5. I totally didnt read the instructions right and did everything wrong. I put both sugars in the melted butter and my biscuits would not stay rolled in the pool of butter i baked them in, but they still came out SO GOOD! They reminded me of a pineapple upside down cake (without the pineapple flavor of course), because it had that same chewy crust created by the butter and brown sugar being baked on the bottom. So heavenly. Also, i made an icing out of powdered sugar, butter, vanilla, and milk and drizzled it on top after baking. What a easy, fail proof quick sweet treat!

I'll start by saying most of my recipies are rich and not made for dieting, although a very few are healthy by nature! I live in Oklahoma and was raised on a farm. We ate what we raised and grew. Our trips to town were bi-monthly but my Mother was creative and made do with what we had such as cattle, pork, poultry, fruit, grain, milk, eggs and garden veggies. I have collected cookbooks for years and love to take different combinations of other recipes and combine them to make my own. My favorite cookbooks are those from small country churches from old fashion cooks. My favorite time of year is Christmas and I start about 3 weeks before making homemade candy.
