  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • I a large mixing bowl, cream butter and shortening; add SUGARS, eggs and vanilla, mix well.
  • Stir in oats, flour, baking soda and baking powder; when well blended, stir in coconut, pecans, rice krispies, chocolate chips and chips of choice.
  • When batter is throughly mixed, measure 1/4 cup batter for each cookie on a large ungreased baking sheet.
  • Bake 10 to 12 minutes, or until edges are golden; for a crisper cookie bake 12 to 15 minutes; allow cookies to cool slightly on baking sheet before removing to a wire rack.

  1. My wife and i made these Buffalo Chips yesterday. We tried another recipe and we tried yours as well. Both turned out just "GREAT". We will certainly try your recipe again as it was yummy and it did nt take long for me get my fingers in the cookie jar lol.
     
  2. My husband loved these, but I think they need 1 tsp of salt and will add that next time. I made these with 2 C white flour and 2 C whole wheat flour and reduced the sugar to three cups and added 1 C splenda. Thanks for sharing.
     
  3. My cousin gave me this recipe years ago, but her version uses corn flakes instead of Rice Krispies. These are REALLY good and very addictive cookies!
