Bumble Bees

"Fun to make and eat! A great protein-filled nutritious snack for kids. Easy to make; fun for the kids to help. My 5 y/o loves them. This recipe is courtesy of Better Homes and Gardens "Kids Snacks" cookbook, 1985. ***Do not feed honey to anyone under the age of 1 years old, due to the possibility of an allergic reaction."

  1. i used to make these for my daughter when she was in kindergarten. I lost the recipe i n my many moves since then. She is now going to be 30 years old. I am glad I finally found the recipe again. I will be surprising her with then on her birthday. She has always asked me what I could still make them but I did not have the recipe. I want to thank you so much for making it available

  2. I made these for my daughters kinder class. They are sooo cute and much easier than I had anticipated. They tasted great without being too sweet. I made little flower sandwiches to go with them and it looks very cute. I know the kiddos will love them! This recipe is definitely a keeper!

  3. These were adorable after they were made, and I too had trouble with the wings breaking so I used a tiny screwdriver to make a slight hole then pushed it back together after I got my almond slivers in.They were a hit with my grandkids. Thanks so much Darlene

  4. These are really cute and when you make them please submit a pic because I have no artistic ability whatsoever as you can see by my photo. The taste of these are good, reminds me of a chocolateless no bake cookie. I had a hard time working with the dough and my almonds were sliced very thin. They kept breaking when I tried to insert them in the side of the bee. I used crunchy peanut butter and I think I will try these again using creamy. I chose this recipe for "Pick a Chef".

Welcome! I joined this website in 2001, as a new wife and Mom of a 1 y/o and I was 28 yrs old and did not know about cooking. I found this website cause I searched the web and wanted to find a good recipe for carrots! I found that recipe and so much more here over the years.
